Most of our family and friends will know how much we LOVE our Ernie. In celebration of him turning a big 1, we have decided to raise money to be able to donate a Pets at Home Gift card for Northern Ireland Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue. 

So if you can donate even a £1 we would be ever so grateful as it will make such a difference to so many dogs lives. Once the donating page has finished we will use the money to purchase a Pets at Home gift card. These Gift cards don't expire and the Charity can use it in emergencies, like puppy milk, food, medical items and much much more.

Here is a little about why we are doing this:.........
Since Gareth & I got Ernie we have learnt how loyal, loving and cuddly the staffordshire breed can be. We have never experienced a dog quite like it. But we have also experienced the worlds views on staffordshire bull terriers. 

We first heard of NISBTR when Ernie's sister Luna came up on their Facebook page. It broke our hearts to see her needing a new home. Unfortunately we couldn't take her. But it got us thinking.....where would she have ended up if it weren't for the NISBTR. 

Whilst there are some breed rescues and sanctuaries that do help Staffordshire Bull Terriers, there are many that do not. Prior to the establishment of NISBTR there was no breed specific rescue for SBT in the whole of Northern Ireland and, to date, they remain the only one, making our rescue work even more important and in demand.

The dogs that come into their care come from three main sources; Council Dog Pounds (including welfare cases), other all breed rescues, and surrenders from owners under exceptional circumstances.
