Story
Showing my mother the world through my eyes...
I introduce you the most strongest, beautiful human being who I was lucky enough to call my mother... Who we painfully lost to a rare Chronic Lung disease named NSIP.
On Tuesday 27th January 2017, she convinced The Papsworth Hospital that she wanted to fight, showed courage that she was ready for a transplant in order to live.. with the biggest smile. Unfortunately she was admitted to hospital that same week Friday with Pneumonia which sped up her condition rapidly.. We lost her on the 7th of February 2017 and on that same day we received her transplant assessment appointment that she had fought for. We are heartbroken... It was time I lived through mums dream, she is part of me and with her incredible strength within me, I will be achieving what she dreamt of doing.
My gold hearted angel told me she wished that once she was given her new set of lungs, she wanted to hike up the mountains without a struggle and admire the landscape views she always loved, just like she would as a child. She dreamt of seeing the most amazing views again, breathing in the fresh air naturally and painting the beautiful views for hours. She didn't get to fulfill her wish... With tears running down my face, I'm determined to show her this through my eyes, with my lungs as I am a part of her. For her, I will achieve this journey and will have her by my side giving me her courage and strength.. I will show her the most beautiful views.
On the 11th August - 13th August 2017 I will climb up to the top of Ben Nevis in Scotland in Memory of my beautiful mother. All donations will be for the British Lung Foundation, in order to try and help the foundation so fewer families will not go through the same heart ache we are going through, in order to raise awareness and support..
