Story
A team of six from Estate Services (Damian Lamb, Lee Citrine, Tony Simm, Jason Bertie, Jordan Bannon and Graeme Webster) recently participated in the annual JLR Challenge. They wanted to use the outward bound event as an opportunity to raise money for one of JLR Halewood's charity of the year 2018/19 runners-up, Blood Bikes.
Blood Bikes is an out of hours urgent transport service provided entirely by volunteers, covering Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire. They transport blood, related products and donated breast milk on motorcycles between hospitals and pathology labs.
The team were challenged to walk at least 20 miles and through sheer determination we managed to cover 25.5 miles (that's 55,700 steps each!)!
