We are the MS Society. We are strong enough to stop MS together.

Story

The Jockeys are getting back on their bikes for another charity challenge and this time we are really going for it. We've done the extramiles (http://www.extra-mile.org.uk/), now we are going for extra everything!

On 18th July The Jockeys (aka Paul Andrews, Martin Bednall, Tim Spray and new recruit Matt Woodhams) will ride Stage 17 of the 2010 Tour de France three days before the professionals ride the stage (let's hope we have finished by then). At 181km long and featuring two category one climbs and finishing on the legendary 'hor's categorie' Col Du Tourmalet it promises to be an enormous challenge.

To put the challenge into perspective, the average rider will take 9-10 hrs of which up to 6 hrs will be of constant climbing.

In order to help us (and our other halves) persevere through the hours of training and then on the day, please give massive amounts of money to our chosen charity of Multiple Sclerosis, that way we will know the pain is all worth it.

Over 130,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
