Story
I am running the 2018 London Marathon in support of Mosaic Clubhouse, a mental health charity that I work for in Brixton.
Mosaic Clubhouse supports people aged 16 and over, living with severe and often enduring mental health problems, enabling individuals to regain the confidence and skills necessary to lead productive and satisfying lives. Members work on reception, run our café, maintain our gardens, support our administration and finance activities and deliver workshops for the benefit of their peers. Members are the key stakeholders within our organisation and participate in all our work, decision-making and governance opportunities. Last year, 708 members worked alongside 14 support workers, with 84 members attending per day!
Raising £2,000 will provide almost 200 hours of vital support work to help keep the Clubhouse doing the great work it does. Here’s what
members say about the Clubhouse experience;
“Coming here gives me a routine, confidence and improving my
work skills.”
“I feel good about myself and it is a privilege to wake up
every morning having to wake up for a reason.”
“I now have goals and a positive outlook for the future, real support and encouragement, people that can relate to and understand me and what I’m going through, all because of the Clubhouse and the service it provides.”
Please sponsor if you can. Many thanks for reading.
