We provide surgical training and equipment to give children a better life.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

My brothers and I are leading a group of friends up into the foothills of the Himalayas (Everest Base Camp) for a charity that is close to all of our hearts.

Facing the World is a children's charity that was founded to offer Life Changing Treatment to children with severe facial disfigurement.  They do this through 4 different avenues:

-  bring children with extremely severe conditions which cannot be treated locally to the UK for surgery

-  provide training to develop the capacity of local teams to provide surgery

-  network to find local treatment for those who do not need to come to the UK for treatment

-  provide post surgical support to families to facilitate their life change

One of their partnerships is in Danang (Vietnam) which aims to help all those unfortunate people affected by the use of Agent Orange during the Vietnam War.

We look forward to your support in giving those less fortunate than us a more normal life.

FTW has pioneered a bold new approach to sustainable healthcare, resulting in self-run centres of excellence. This approach ensures that children born with facial differences can receive the surgery they need, and that these centres can be replicated both nationally and internationally.
