A huge thank you to you for visiting my sponsorship site!
I genuinely hope you are able to give generously to support the
Mines Advisory Group and to give me the opportunity to do something absolutely
terrifying and, hopefully, rather fulfilling all in the name of a worthy cause!
In short MAG is an organisation that works to remove mines and
other unexploded ordnance from previously war-torn regions all over the world
and to educate the people living in those areas to keep them safe. They prevent
unnecessary loss of life or limb and open up new land for vulnerable families
to use for agriculture. The effect MAG has on the regions it has helped clear
is amazing and utterly crucial to the people and communities that live there.
To aid in their efforts and raise the money they need to keep
operating they have arranged a sponsored Abseil, off of the 30 metre high roof
of Battersea Power Station. Which is where I come in!
Despite being more than slightly daunted by the prospect of hanging
30 metres off the side of a building on a piece of glorified string, I am
determined to not only beat my phobia of heights but also raise at least the
target of £200 to support this great charity and qualify for the event in just over two weeks! This is
where you come in!
So I ask for you to please give as generously as you can to
sponsor me on this Abseil and to support MAG in their good work. Thank you!
