We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

Hi guys,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I appreciate it!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!  I did it!!!

I'm doing the Mazda London Triathlon this August, which should be ... fun!  So I'm raising some money for the RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) because it is a great help for people who cannot see very well or at all- providing special equipment such as modified computers, books etc. so that the blind can live as independently as possible.  There's also a personal reason in choosing this charity- my cousin Sarah went blind in her 20s as a result of her diabetes and it was extremely hard for her family and of course for her.  The RNIB really helped out.

So, I'll be swimming about 750m, cycling 20km and running another 5km, and have even bought myself some snazzy Nike trainers to do it!

About the charity

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
