Story

In my 30's I did a lot of fundraising starting off with running the London Marathon in 2002, for Kidney Research, as one of my oldest and closest friends, Poppy, was on dialysis awaiting her second kidney transplant!  Back then whilst training I would run past her house and think of her wired up to her dialysis machine unable to take part in sports or run which she had previously loved doing!  As I now reach my last year of my 40's (how can this be happening) and before I hit the next big 0 - I decided it was time for some more fundraising and to challenge myself so I've set 12 completely new challenges to complete within the next 12 months (by September 23, 2019) and to raise money specifically for the renal unit at Portsmouth Hospital where  Poppy has undergone 2 kidney transplants and  they've looked after her throughout the years with her treatment to keep her healthy. With the money raised Poppy and I will be able to ask where we'd like the money to be directed to whether it be research or specific equipment. So if you can spare a penny or two to help support the excellent work the Portsmouth Hospital Renal Unit do Poppy and I will really appreciate it!  I will do my upmost best to complete all the challenges!  Thanks :-)

If you'd like to join or support me on any please do - all welcome!
