Story
Dearest Friends,
As many of you know, 5 teams completed The Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Firefly International in May 2018. It was a great achievement for all involved and we raised £4000, which is a really significant amount for Firefly.
May 2019 is now just around the corner and the Firefly Challenge Team have decided to embark on Part 2 to support summer activities for Syrian refugees in Turkey and the Northern Syrian camps.
If we raise £4000 again we can support our four month summer educational programme for 1000 children living in terrible circumstances.
Hadrian’s Wall
Given that the charity is about supporting refugees fleeing from conflict across borders, this year we are proposing to walk the length of Hadrian’s wall. A very notable border indeed.
We are attempting this in three days and it is not for the faint-hearted - most rambling websites suggest it takes 6-7 days. It is a test that will require training and tenacity to complete. (As well as coping with very sore feet).
Any support (big or small) that you can show by way of donation will be gratefully received. Thank you in advance for your support. We may need it.
