This has been a hard year and running for me is my escape .... so this is my personal challenge which I dedicate to all my family who have been through difficult times this year. 

But in particular I am running the marathon in memory of Den, my step Dad and to raise money for the Martlet's Hospice who gave him such wonderful care and support at the end of his life. They also gave such comfort to all of his family during the hard and sad days at the end.

All the hospice services are free of charge so they rely on fundraising and donations to continue their vital work. And the work they do is so important to our community .... they really are 'angels without wings'.
