Pete's out for revenge, as Jay's outrun him at most events to date, though recently this trend has turned around - Pete's beaten Jay in the most recent races (though Pete tends to fade in the second half of long runs, so Jay is confident in a close finish in the main event this year!)  This will be hardcore competition - survival of the fittest.  Whoever goes through the line second has to eat their own shoes.  So we want lots of support now - and on the day too.  And for goodness sake, somebody remember to bring a bottle of ketchup!
