We offer vital end of life care and support to local people when they need it most.

Story

On the 5 April team “Fuddy Muckers” are taking on Born Survivor. We are a massive team set to be around 100 members.  For some members this is their first ever experience of anything like this. We expect fear, tears, tantrums but mostly a fantastic, rewarding day!

Born Survivor is not a race - it is a test of character, teamwork and valour.  Our mission is to push ourselves to the limit tackling the ultimate military obstacle course designed by British Royal Marines Commandos.  We will be put through our paces as we stampede over, under and through a series of military style obstacles set in 10k of brutal & unforgiving Lake District terrain.

Born Survivor is not your average trail run. This will be tough. This will be a test. This may break us. We will need to be physically fit and mentally prepared to cope with the challenges and endure the suffering. We expect mud, hills, and water - this course is the sort of challenge the British Army face in their training every day.

For this we are raising as much money as possible for The Douglas Macmillan Hospice,  a care facility for people suffering from incurable cancer, serving the North Staffordshire area but now also looks after people with other life-limiting illnesses.  The charity is very close to all of our hearts.

The Charity provides the most amazing end of life care to patients and also offers support, counselling for their families.  Every penny raised will go directly to that patient care!!

So please please dig deep and sponsor our crazy team!! We really appreciate every donation made, thank you xx
