Story
I am circumnavigating the Isle of Man in a one go for Victim Support Isle of Man because it's ant event that benefits local causes there
The Isle of Man Government are a client of Jobtrain (my employer) and I regularly travel to the island for meetings and to deliver training. I love cycling, and what a gorgeous and challenging place to ride. I heard about the Isle of Man Lighthouses Challenge and how it benefits local causes - as well as providing a stern but enjoyable challenge for participants - and so I though I would enter.
Undoubtedly the cost of organisation eats into potential money donated to the local causes, so I thought I would try and add a bit extra to one of main listed partner charities, Victm Support Isle of Man. I also have a simialr page set up for the other charity - The Children's Centre (as you cant split donations on Just Giving).
I am aiming to raise £1 for each of the 160km I will be covering in the single lap of the island, which I hope to cover in around 7 hours. This will be the longest and hardest ride Ive undertaken since 2013 and so finishing let alone in that time will be pushing the limit of what I cab achieve. Donations for radox and a plump cushion will also be received gratefully, but wont qualify for gift aid!!
