We fight for the hope of young people to create a society built for all children

Story

Hi all

After spending 13.1 miles last year swearing never ever again am I going to attempt the great north run; somehow I find myself asking you kind people to sponsor me to do just that.

I've chosen the children's society not just because they pay my mum's wages but because I have seen the great work this charity does at first hand.  They really support children who don't get the help they need and in addition are not as rich as some of the big charities every penny you can give counts.

You may know that any donations on here will receive gift aid  (If you are a UK taxpayer) so it is a efficient way to give.

In addition Barclay's have kindly offered to match my sponsorship up to my £750 target, so in effect you are being twice as generous!

If you prefer please catch up with me in person and I will have an old fashioned sponsorship form to fill in.

Thank you in advance for your donation whether it is £1 or £100 it all adds up.

Steve

P.S. I'm aiming for 1 hour 45 (again!) this year which is about 8 minute miles so wish me luck.

About the charity

We are a national charity working to transform the hopes and happiness of young people facing abuse, exploitation and neglect. We support them through their most serious life challenges and we campaign tirelessly for the big social changes that will improve the lives of those who need hope most.
