The GRM Loggerheads take their name from a UAE turtle and the team is planning to complete the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge, http://www.abudhabi-adventure.com/ with the same determined attitude of that steadfast local animal. The GRM Loggerheads are made up of Chris Hirst (captain /navigator), Nadine (pace setter), Angelica (equipment) and Bob Stanley (inspiration).

The team's corporate sponsor is GRM International, a staff owned Australian and UK company that implements social development projects in developing countries for international donors and also works with the Abu Dhabi Government in building the capacity of local farmer's associations.

The GRM Loggerheads are raising money for The Aschiana Centre in Kabul, a local Afghan charity which works to get street kids off the streets and into classrooms. The corporate sponsor, GRM International, is currently implementing development projects in Afghanistan (Education, public health, agriculture and governance) and is supporting the team through meeting registration and equipment costs and making a generous contribution to the Loggerheads Ashiana Centre fund. All money raised from individual sponsors will also go directly to this worthy charity so any interested in supporting the Loggerheads may do so by going to http://www.justgiving.com/grm and making a donation to the GRM team fund on-line.
