A local trekking group based in and around the Gwynedd area called Safwrn yn y Bwlch (SYYB) who trek most if not every weekend have decided to plan an expedition to the Himalayas and trek to Everest Base Camp and summit Island Peak (6000mt/20,000ft) Oct/Nov 2023. A celebratory charity dinner will then be held early 2024 to tell the story and to raise more funds.

We as a group of friends 12 in total have decided to raise funds and awareness towards the fantastic work that the charity Gafael Llaw do to support children with Cancer in North Wales. 

The funds that we raise for this trip will go towards improving facilities and services for children and their families..

So by donating and raising the awareness we SYYB hope to help Gafael Llaw reach our goal of £6000.00

We will be posting blogs of our walks/treks and if anyone would like to join us on these leading up to our expedition then a small donation would be requested.
