Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the Prudential RideLondon cycle event this year on July 30th- 25,000  of us will start in the Olympic park at the crack of dawn and finish up on the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace via 100 miles up and down the hills of Surrey (they are bigger than they sound).   I have taken part in this event before but this year it's going to be more of a challenge as I have done a lot less training than I would have liked and let's be honest, I'm not getting any younger.

I am doing it to raise funds for the Hospice of the Valleys in memory of my grandmother, who passed away last summer. The Hospice of the Valleys is a small charity in South Wales providing free, high quality care for patients suffering life limiting illness, and support for their families throughout treatment, end of life care and bereavement.  They did an amazing job caring for my grandmother in her final months but also looking after my grandad and helping him through a very difficult time.

I appreciate we all have a lot of demands on our cash but even a small donation would have a meaningful impact on the work the Hospice can do, so anything you can spare would be appreciated..

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
