Story
Check out our progress on our blog at www.equipuk.org.
On Sunday 1 May 2011, Jon Sweeney, Phil Reid, Steve Kirkup, Neil Osbourne and I will embark on a great challenge - cycling the entire length of Britain from end-to-end: John O’Groats to Land’s End. Over the following two weeks Team Equip will cycle over 1000 miles, climbing over 35,000 feet.
Why are we going to subject ourselves to the muscle ache, chafing, and head-on winds? We will be doing this to raise money for Equip. Equip is a Christian charity working with church leaders and government organisations in East Africa to promote opportunity and excellence primarily in education and health. Equip has two principal development projects underway that require funding – a secondary school and a health centre in the capital of Rwanda, Kigali. To find out more about the project and to keep up to date on our progress, please go to www.equipuk.org. We’re aiming to raise a minimum of £40,000. This is a big target, especially in these difficult economic times, so your donation will be gratefully received.
Thank you for your interest, we will really appreciate any contribution, big or small to help us in achieving our goal!
