Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving fund raising page and supporting the Leonard Cheshire Disability charity.
In 2010, I will run my first ever marathon. Whilst you're sleeping comfortably at 6am, think of me as I battle sub zero temperatures and slippery roads during the freezing Winter months to train for the marathon. If I can put myself through this pain for the next 4 months for a worthy cause, I hope that you can give generously to support my initiative.
Leonard Cheshire Disability exists to change attitudes to disability and to serve disabled people around the world. Their principal activity in the UK is the provision of services including care homes, supported living, day services, resource centres, rehabilitation and respite care. They are the largest voluntary sector provider of care and support services for disabled people, supporting over 21,000 people in the UK and operating in over 55 countries worldwide.
If you would like to sponsor me to run the London Marathon, donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leonard Cheshire Disability gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please dig deep and donate now. Your donation is greatly appreciated.
