At Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals we have developed a new model and team to support patients presenting with Dementia, Delirium and Distress. This model and team work with patients based on need, not diagnosis and supports teams to identify and address patients needs, not risks. We personalise care, support carers and families and strive to improve the patients journey. We have recently won a national award for personalising care and money raised form this challenge will support us to sustain and develop the therapeutic work we do with patients with Dementia, Delirium and Learning Disabilities during their admission.

We work to add value to the patient experience in Sandwell and West Birmingham. In partnership with a range of community stakeholders, we raise vital funds to ensure the best clinical and patient service provision possible for children and adults alike.Our mission is:“To enhance the experience of all people using our services including staff, patients and their families. We will do this by providing additional facilities and supporting innovative projects that create a comfortable and secure environment.”
