Story
A HUGE thank you to everyone who visited my page and made such generous donations. I have been truly overwhelmed by the support!
I made it down the building safely (see the photo for evidence of my descent!)
Thank you again for the donations on behalf of me, my mum and MPD Support.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On September 4th I will be abseiling 469ft down the Guy's Hospital Tower in London to raise as much money as I can for a charity called MPD Support.
MPD Support offer help and support to people with MPDs (Myeloproliferative Disorders) and help fund the search for a cure. MPDs are rare blood cancers, which affect people of all ages, leading to blood clots, heart attacks and strokes and for which there is currently no cure. My mum has recently been diagnosed with an MPD, so my abseil will hopefully go some way to helping her through her treatment.
Abseiling down the world's tallest hospital tower (and London's 15th tallest building) will be an unfamiliar and daunting challenge for me, but with your support and donations, I feel positive I can succeed in aid of MPD Support and my mum.
So please, dig deep and donate what you can.
Many thanks, Gemma.
