We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

On the weekend of the 11th-13th June 2010 whilst most of you will be sunning yourselves on beaches, relaxing on holiday or picnicking in beautiful locations around the world, the "One Firm" team will be taking on the exciting Three Peaks Challenge in order to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.

The adventure includes climbing the three highest peaks in the home nations: Scotland, England and Wales. We will start with Ben Nevis (1,344m) at 7:30am before heading south to Scafell Pike (978m) well into midnight and then finishing at Snowdon (1,085m) around 4am before passing out with exhaustion at 9am on the train ride back to London. The challenge is all the more tough as we complete the whole lot in 24 hours, and even the smallest peak is more than 650 times the height of Hilda, the shortest team member!

The "One Firm" team consists of Genna Tildsley, Amy Spare, Hilda Fassihi, Zoey Bluff and Denya Hill, and represents a variety of Grant Thornton offices, departments and locations.

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those that care for them. There are over 70,000 people with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to one million by 2025. Dementia is not a natural part of ageing. It is caused by diseases of the brain and gradually robs people of their lives. We appreciate all donations no matter how big or small as all money raised will go to a truly worthwhile cause.
