Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Gerry's JustGiving page. On Sunday 26th April Gerry will perform 26 karate training kata for the 2.6 Challenge - raising funds for the Hitchin Tilehouse Rotary Club charity account.

Training kata are old sets of karate techniques arranged in a performance form. Each kata has a name and varies according to the karate or Kun-Fu school or style. He will perform 26 kata sets from the Wado-Ryu  and Shorin-Ryu Traditional Karate schools. One being the ancient Nifhanchi short fist form from the Shorin school. Shorin is the Japanese pronunciation othe Chinese Shoalin.
