The aim is to raise the funds to purchase and modify a transport container which will be converted to 3 x small business opportunities including an existing car wash, a curio shop and a small street vending kitchen. 

The container will be housed on an existing property provided by Embu Jua Kali Association to the Youth Group from the Embu Children’s Rescue Centre and will ensure a safe, community based venture for the street boys and girls to carry out their income generating projects. 

Some of the street children have already learned how to make Kenyan themed jewellery and are selling their products outside of the Rescue Center gates and we have a number of young mothers working diligently as food vendors to support their babies and younger siblings at home.

It is going to cost approximately 380,000 Kenya Shillings to pay for and create separate rooms, put in windows and set doors in the container. Please consider donating to this extraordinary project.
