Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Nystagmus is complex eye condition which is characterised by involuntary movements of the eye. Myself and my daughter Hannah have this condition. Our eyes appear to wobble from side to side causing us to have a visual impairment.  We have had the condition from birth. There is no cure, wearing glasses or contact lenses only slightly improves our sight, this means that we are not able to drive and many daily tasks are more difficult due our poor vision.

Those that know me will be aware that I'm a cyclist and not a runner, mainly due my dodgy ankles and flat feet. Also riding a bike is my mode of transport too. I have not really taken part in any serious running since mandatory cross counrty at school, so running 5km and minimal training time before 22/06/2019 means that this will be a challenge for me!
