Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

At the start of June Julie and Graeme are cycling from London to Paris (about 350 miles), in order to raise money for three fantastic charities, Project O, Leeds Faith in Schools and Christ Church Upper Armley Youth Project.

Project O helps orphaned children whose parents have died from HIV.  Their vision is to see African AIDS orphans fully supported, within extended families or 100% self-sufficient homes where children are nurtured in a safe, caring and loving environment, providing hope and the opportunity to grow and thrive.  The team I’m going with aims to raise £23,000 to build a new carbon free orphanage.  For more information please go to the website www.london2paris2010.org.

50% of the money raised will go to Project O and the remainder wil be split  between LFIS and Armley youth Project. LFIS do a great service in Leeds schools providing support to students, and staff. The workers contributions is very varied and ranging fromtaking assemblies, running lunchtime clubs, teaching Life Sills and PSHE, mentoring and sports lessons. The current financial downturn is putting huge strains on hte charity and needs all the funding to continue their vaulable work.

Julie is fundraising for Christ Church  Armley Youth Project. The project reaches out to the local community providing youth provision for a all age groups from 7-23 and beyond in some cases. The project is well respected within the community and a member of the youth group has been awarded the Archbishop's Youth Award recently. Funding is urgently needed to continue this valuable work.
