I have now run the London Marathon 2010!

Along with 36000 runners, a wonderful experience, great atmosphere, fantastic support.

My time was: 3 hrs 26 mins 22 secs!

Its an opportunity to support a cause close to my heart, that of the plight of children in South Africa who suffer from HIV / AIDS.  On a previous fund raising challenge  a few years ago, I witnessed first hand the outstanding work of this charity supporting children with HIV / AIDS.  Thanks to One to One there is now a program in place to treat children with anti retroviral drugs, where none existed before.  The charity is also active in community projects including building a school, a creche, a preschool centre and playground in a squatter camp.

South Africa has the highest number of HIV sufferers in the world, some 5.2 million people in 2008 with 1/4 million deaths from AIDS in the same year.  This disease has had a devastating effect on many children and families throughout Africa, with many infected children also orphaned due to the AIDS epidemic. 

I appreciate the demands on your charity donations but I would very much value your support by donating to this very worthy cause.
