I'm running the Great North Run - 13.1 miles through the great cities of Newcastle and Gateshead - for Waverley Care, the charity I've been proud to lead for over 10 years. 

Sadly, the stigma around HIV, based on outdated knowledge and attitudes, means that far too many people face HIV alone. This leaves many people isolated in their communities unable to access support or talk to anyone about HIV and what it means to them. We give people that safe place, ensuring no one is alone.
