We (Tom, Hugh, Chris, Grant and Derek) had a crazy idea to do something spectacular, in fact to climb Mount Everest! However Grant decided that was not challenging enough so we decided after much debate to walk the course of Hadrian's Wall (80 miles). Why, you may ask...well because it's there, at least some of it is still there, the rest has contributed to dwellings along the route. We will complete the walk in four days...at leat 4 of us will, Derek will probally still be on stage two when we are celebrating in Newcastle!

On a serious note, we are all in some way affected by the devastation that cancer can cause. In particular bowel cancer and all of us know of friends and relations who have been cruelly afflicted. Our small 'fun' for 4 days will raise money to help the charity continue its great work of finding ways of eliminating or at least alleviating the enormous distress this type of cancer causes.
