Story
Well, the big day finally came and went in a flash!
There were so many inspirational causes and people running for something that is close to their heart, it gave us goose bumps.
It may not be a marathon, but on a hot day, we were certainly well out of our comfort zone, and the basic preparation around the parks of London and Kent during the weeks leading up to the run were worthwhile both physically and emotionally.
We were proud to be members of the FSID team, which was brilliantly organised- the 'cheer stations' really keep you going!
Our proudest moment was linking hands to cross the finish line together, in Lucie's memory, knowing that everyone had run the whole course.
Thank you all so much if you managed to donate to the FSID, which is doing fantastic work in trying to understand and eliminate Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and if you haven't given yet, it is never too late!
Onward to the next challenge!
With love

------------
In 1984, We lost our second born daughter, Lucie, aged 7 months, to SIDS, whilst farming in Cornwall.
Although we took enormous comfort from her elder sister, Jodie, now 29, we were devastated, and when laying Lucie to rest in a little church overlooking the sea, we promised her that we would never forget her; it is written on her gravestone.
We were blessed with three more children, Torie, Jack and Guy, all of whom intend to run in Lucie's memory.
Please be generous with your donations as we hope that funds raised will enable this cruel phenomenon to be understood and eliminated for ever.
Thank You,
The Nicholson Family
