Story

Fai* lives in Northern Thailand. Her mother died 3 months after her birth and her father abandoned her. For the last 8 years she has been living in the ‘Keep Girls Safe’ shelter, ran by ADRA Thailand.

The ‘Keep Girls Safe’ shelter cares for a total of 30 girls 'at risk' in the Chiang Rai province, and its running costs are supported by donors overseas. However, University costs are beyond the means of the shelter.

Fai has a dream! She would like to become a teacher so she could encourage children, like herself, who have no Mum or Dad to care for them, to know that life is full of hope and that there are people who care.

With your help, Fai will be able to enrol in Chiang Rai University and complete a Major in Education.

Please help us raise GBP 7,000 to send Fai to University. Fai will work part-time during her studies to cover her living expenses.

Your donation will be administered by ADRA-UK and is eligible for gift aid.

*Please note that Fai is not her real name. Her identity is kept anonymous for her own safeguard.
