Story
You may well know that I rather like my sleep, so this Midnight Walk is going to be an extra challenge for me - at the time the walk starts I'm usually thinking about moving upstairs to bed to get some sleep. But I really want to do it, partly to prove I can, and partly to support the fantastic work of our local hospice, St Clares.
Last year over 1,600 people registered to take part in the second Midnight Walk and raised a phenomenal £117,000! In the past two years, they’ve raised over £200,000 for the Hospice – well done everyone!! This year the Midnight Walk is taking place on Saturday 19th June. Seeing as the Hospice is celebrating it’s 20th birthday this year, they want the 2010 event to be bigger and better with 2,000 people taking part raising over £140,000 to contribute towards the £2.5 million the Hospice needs every year to provide free of charge care to its patients and their families in West Essex and East Hertfordshire.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
