I'm running the Bath Half Marathon in March 2011 for Dementia UK.

Sadly, last year, my grandmother passed away. She had suffered from Dementia for some years. 

Dementia not only impacts on the sufferer, but also the people close to them. Carers and nurses can provide essential support to both the sufferers and their families. 

Dementia UK funds and supports nurses and carers, the people who made my gran's final years bearable. 

Aside from that, not being much of a runner myself - I will need all the support I can get!
