Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For this most ambitious of challenges I have chosen to raise funds for the Mary Ann Evans Hospice in Nuneaton. An amazing charity, run by local people who rely heavily on donations to continue their wonderful work for the people of Nuneaton and surrounding areas.

During a period of 5 weeks I will be attempting 12 lots of 26.2 miles. The first 6 will be in March on Skis, accompanied by some family and friends hopefully. Update - Completed successfully but followed by 8 days in hospital due to an infection and influenza. 

The next one will be the 2019 London Marathon which I will be doing alone, except for 40,000 other runners and 3 million spectators.. Update - Completed successfully in just over 5 hours, beyond wildest expectations as last proper training run was over 5 weeks ago  

The next 5 will be in one day on a bike. Again, I will be accompanied by assorted family and friends - Andrea Cameron,  Wayne Locke, Maz, Andy Rothwell, Iain Beech, Lee Jenkins, Martin Hall and our support vehicle, Barry and Helen Brownsword. Update - Conditions were truly horrendous and tested us way beyond what we we were anticipating. However, 8 started and 8 finished, so a massive success. Jackie Davies, our link with MAE, via The Merry Midwives, provided a reception for the cyclists and support teams that they deserved. Thank you all.

To accomplished Skiers, Cyclists and Runners these events may not seem much of a challenge. However, at age 55, and not overly burdened with talent or athletic ability, this will be very much a challenge.

Thank you for your support through 5 previous London Marathons and the variety of other Charity events we have been through together. Every penny does count and as usual, any donations are welcomed. Thanks.
