Story
Thank You for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In partaking in the City2Surf, we've decided to fundraise for INARA.
Excitingly, donations to INARA are 100% given to the children in Syria, with no administrative overhead, and once you donate on this webpage, the money is sent directly and securely through to INARA.
Treating children with conflict related injuries is a complicated, lengthy and expensive process. To help you understand what your donation could mean for a Syrian refugee child, we’ve broken it down below:
$15 - This would pay for a child's medicine costs for an entire week. This medication can prevent burns from getting any more infected and stop sepsis.
$50 - This covers the cost of x-ray's. This can uncover issues relating to the structural healing of children's limbs.
$100 - This covers transportation costs for a child to get to and from physiotherapy sessions. This helps rehabilitation and will ensure children can live a more independent life.
$300 - This covers one child's recovery in hospital intensive care, for about a day.
$500 - This could pay for a small surgery. For instance, this was is the cost to remove a hernia.
$1,000 - This could pay for a more complicated surgery such as removing scar tissue which locks a child's arm, and enables them to move freely.
$4,000 - This is the average cost of treating an INARA child from start to finish.
