Story

In 2003 i entered the London Marathon general ballot after not having run since school.  I was unsuccessful in the ballot.  10 years later in April 2013 I started running with the aim of completing the 5k Race for Life in July.  By June I was already running 5k runs comfortably so entered a local 10K race.  Although I'm not the fastest runner out there I am very determined and plod on through even though at times I find it very hard.  I went on to complete 3 half marathons.

After my last half marathon in May 2015 I seemed to have lost my running mojo.  I started to run regularly again until April 2018 and have found the love again.  Each year entering the London Marathon Ballot between 2013-2019 and not being successful.

I have been given the amazing opportunity by Hertfordshire Community Foundation to conquer London in 2019 and at the same time raise some much needed funds for them in order to help those that live in our community that may not be as fortunate as ourselves.  Please take a look at the website to see the fantastic work they do.

This is going to be the most challenging thing I have ever done both physically and mentally.  I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of blood, sweat and tears on my marathon journey and I would fully appreciate if you were able to show your support in sponsoring me if you wish to, give me a shout or cheer if you see me on my training runs around the local cycle tracks and roads, and any leg massages would be greatly appreciated lol!

Thank you.

Hayley
