Story

A BIG thank you for taking the time to visit TEAM HAYS JustGiving Page.

Its survival of the fittest as over 100 Hays employees, clients, family and friends from all over the UK take on this gruelling challenge in aid of our charity partner Action for Children.

What's involved - the team split into 2 groups and over 2 weekends in May 2010 will undertake the following:

"BEAT THE MOON"

* Cycle a total of 9 miles

* Trek 9 miles to the summit of Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England

* Canoe for 1 mile on Wast Water

* Run 1 mile

We commence this mammouth challenge at sunrise and have a race against time to complete the whole course before the moon rises!!

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS:

    *50 children are added to the child protection register daily
    *60% of care leavers have less than one GCSE/GNVQ
    *65,000 families with children in the have no permanent home
    *Every week at least one child dies from abuse or neglect
    *Every day one young person commits suicide
