I am part of the Chichester Canal volunteer's team which consists largely of members of the older generation and as such we go all out to show the younger generations what we can do!  This event raises money and publicity for local charities whilst allowing people of all ages and fitness levels to enjoy the day.

I think this event organised by the Rotary Club is particularly good as it supports small, local projects and in particular Cancerwise.  Cancerwise is a Chichester based charity which runs a  free drop in centre offering a wide range of support for those diagnosed with cancer, their families and carers through diagnosis, treatment and beyond.  This charity is particularly close to my heart as my father in law fought various cancers for three years and he did so bravely.
