The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've been a Guide dog owner since 2005 and would like to support the charity that has enabled me to regain my independence. The two guide dogs that I have had, firstly Izzy and now Alfie, have enabled me to load a full and varied life; visiting friends and family independently, using buses, trains and planes.

So far this year I and my Guide Jo Jo have completed a very hilly Yeovil Half Marathon (Bath was cancelled due to snow) a flooded Yeovilton Easter Bunny 10km where a pair of flippers would have been better than trainers and the hottest London Marathon on record with a serious lack of water on route.

But now its time to move onto our next challenge and start our training for the Langport Ladies Novice Triathlon which is to be held on Saturday 15th September 2018 - a pool swim of 200m a 15km cycle ride on our Tandem and a 3 km run.

We aim to reach £12,000 buy the time we do the Triathlon so please keep following our story and supporting us. A massive thanks to everyone who has supported us so far.
