Story
Having agreed to become Ladies Captain of Hendon Golf Club for 2020, COVID 19 has prevailed to make this a most bizarre year.
Sadly, I missed my drive-in due to ill health and therefore, most members at the golf club are not even aware of my charity which is the National Brain Appeal, based at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square. Having worked at this hospital for 10 years, I can assure everyone that it is at the forefront of treatment and management of people with neurological and neuromuscular disorders. The charity provides invaluable funds to promote scientific and clinical advances in this field of medicine.
As we are now all encouraged to make contactless payments, I have set up this just giving page which I would like to use going forward for all my charity fund raising events at the golf club. This of course includes anyone unfortunate enough to go into the left front bunker on the 9th, the ‘ladies captain charity bunker’.
I do hope that members and friends will be persuaded to support this charity in a year where otherwise, virtually no funds would be raised. I thank you in anticipation for all your contributions. It will mean a lot to me and to the National Hospital which does such amazing and pioneering work.
