I'm running the London Marathon on Sunday for The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields.

Thanks to all of those who sponsored me last year. I managed to raise around £6,000 for The Connection. Please don't feel obligated to sponsor me as I know these requests come round very often and I'm conscious that I asked most of you in 2009.

Having said that, if you do want to give something, The Connection is a great charity that helps homeless by providing specialist services – including a day and night centre, outreach for rough sleepers, skills training and career advice, activity programmes and specialist support for complex needs – to over 200 people in central London every day.

Rest assured, given my training-lite approach this year and the weather forecast, it's likely I'll be suffering on Sunday! If anyone is along the course, please look out for me and give me a shout.
