Story
World Child Cancer is a UK charity that saves the lives and reduces the suffering of children with cancer in some of the poorest countries in the world. This is achieved by increasing local specialist cancer expertise and knowledge and by providing essential drugs and resources. Each project is created to be sustainable and achieves its aims by using the support, expertise and resources of the rich, developed world.
Relatively small amounts of money can give a child the chance of life for example, £50 will pay for a supply of chemotherapy drugs in Malawi. In the UK we take it for granted that children will be diagnosed and treated for cancer, in low and middle income countries, this is not the case.
Funds raised through Hever Golf Day will be used by World Child Cancer to increase survival rates and reduce the suffering of children.
