And if you are here - you definitely know why I'm raising funds for this charity. Approaching 50 and boom...the cervical cancer stage 4 card is dealt my way! This may have not been so advanced if 1: Doctors had taken me more seriously and not based their decisions on how well I appeared. 2: I was less embarrassed with the bizarre group of symptoms that I was experiencing. And 3: Gynaecological cancers were talked about more, knowledge was shared more and, women were taught more.

It's easy for a woman approaching this fine age to be told everything is hormonal and menopause is on its' ugly way and thats not cool...doctors do it.

I would like girls/women, whatever age they may be, to be able to get guidance and information about anything that may concern them regarding their ladies-bits. I would like to campaign for this to be the case but don't quite have the energy right now to make that happen...the closest I can get to this at the moment is in-trusting in Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust.
