Whilst in the care of the Neurosciences Department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (Sheffield), Hollie received the most phenomenal care.  It is because of this that we have decided to raise money for Neurocare, the charity which supports the department by raising funds to buy the most advanced high-tech equipment which would not otherwise be provided by the NHS

And because of this care and the huge impact Hollie had on so many peoples' lives we've set a huge target, we want to help Neurocare raise £110,195.00 which is their target for the year.
So, in memory of our beautiful girl Hollie, Phil is planning to run the 631 miles/1015.496 kilometers of the South West Coastal Footpath which starts in Minehead in Somerset and ends in Poole Harbour, Dorset.  The total height climbed will be 35,031 metres (114,931ft) almost four times the height of Mount Everest. We think it will be a most fitting feat as Hollie walked the majority of this with Phil in 2005.

We ask for your support, for the amazing work of the Neurology Department at The Royal Hallamshire support, by sponsoring Phil to undertake this challenge. Phil plans to start his run on April 26th and is aiming to be back in Nottingham on Friday 14th May, giving him 21 days to complete the challenge, that's going to mean an average of 30 miles a day, with tent, food and essentials on his back.  Please do keep coming back to the site, not only to see the latest total, but also to read updates, progress and photographs, before and during the days and weeks of the run as well as afterwards.

Now Let’s get our heads together
www.neurocare.org.uk

Royal Hallamshire Hospital helps patients who have suffered head injury, strokes or have cancers of the nervous system. They also help those with brain tumours, diseases of the nervous system, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Epilepsy and much much more.
As a result of Neurocare’s contributions over many years, the hospital now has some of the best most advanced equipment in the UK but they still have lots of work to do. Lately they have invested in facilities for patients and carers, including improvements to waiting areas. Their ultimate ambition is to make it a ‘Gold Standard’ department – not just in terms of equipment but also facilities and support for patients, their families and carers.

Please pledge your donations below, every contribution will be used to continue the skilled and compassionate work by the staff for all patients in the Neurosciences Department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
