We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2011 I will be embarking on a  tough three day challenge as I climb  the four  highest peaks in England one after the other in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia, affecting around 465,000 people in the UK. Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, which means that gradually, over time, more parts of the brain are damaged. As this happens, the symptoms become more severe. Over the years I have spent alot of time caring for sufferers of the condition and their families. I have first hand experience of the life changing effect the condition has on the people it touches. I have worked with the Alzheimers society previously and been involved in educating health professionals. The Alzheimers society work hard both nationally and local to improve the care of people with the condition but they need your support to continue their excellent work.

Please support my challenge and in turn support this fantastic organisation that plays such a  pivitol role in caring and supporting people with the condition .
