Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Wednesday 15th May 2019 my family were hit with the devastating news that our Dad had been diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumour
We soon became aware that the prognosis for this condition was extremely poor and as we braced ourselves for a battle against this terrible condition in the months ahead, nothing could prepare us for what happened on Sunday 19.05.19.
At 08.00am Dad took a seizure and was rushed into A&E and over the course of the day his condition deteriorated drastically. At 1.05am on Monday 20.05.019 he sadly passed away surrounded by his loving family.
This has came as a massive shock to our friends and family as we struggle to comes to terms with how sudden and devastating his illness was. We can only take comfort in the fact that he never suffered.
I have decided to run this years Dublin marathon in order to raise funds to help others who are suffering from this illness.
All donations will be greatly appreciated and will help to continue the fabulous work which Brainwaves NI do.
