We work throughout the world helping to improve the lives of donkeys and mules

Story

Hi Everyone,

Last year my wife Sue and I spent a day looking after rescued donkeys at the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth Devon , The day was great the staff were so professional and really cared about their work and the donkeys were adorable. We learned so much about how  the Donkey Sanctuary cares for the donkeys here and abroad.

In many third world countries a farmer may only have a donkey for his sorce of power on his  small farm. So it is essential that the animal is looked after, other wise the farmer and his family  would not be able to make an independent  living.

As well as working overseas The Charity  has several centres in the UK  , providing  care and  a happy  life to donkeys who have previously been mistreated . For a better understanding of what they do visit   the donkeysanctuary web site.

The  Donkey Sanctuary  provided 300,000 free treatments last year thanks to people like you  who care.

The  Daramsala challenge will allow me to see first hand the work done in the field. We will be travelling to a Veterinary clinic operated by the Donkey Sanctuary in Daramsala , India.
