Story

Thanks for checking out our JustGiving page!

Naomi House children’s hospice is a charity that provides support to children and young people with conditions that mean they are unlikely to live to become adults.

The charity provides care to families living in communities across the seven counties of Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Surrey, West Sussex and Wiltshire.

The children’s charity has two specialist units, Naomi House for children, and jacksplace for young people. Each unit is purpose built and provides an appropriate environment for each age group.

Derrick Boultby is organising and coordinating the Marine Dept Golf Marathon, to help raise funds for the ABP charity of the year (Naomi House).  The Challenge is scheduled to take place on the 9th August covering 6 local courses as follows:-   Ampfield GC, Otterbourne GC, Southampton Municipal GC, Dibden GC, Wellow GC and finishing at Paultons GC.

Six players from the ABP Southampton Marine Department will be participating, namely: Derrick Boultby, Alf Hunnybun, Keith Sewell, Chic Stewart, Phil Hodgkinson and Ian Officer. Additionally, Ivan Maslen has also volunteered his services to drive the minibus between venues!  Our goal is for each golfer to play a minimum of 9 holes at each course.

That's a minimum total of 324 holes of golf between the team in just one day!!

Our thanks for supporting this extremely worthwhile cause!
