Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have taken the plunge and entered myself for the 2010 Great North Run which takes place on Sunday 19th September this year. I am running on behalf of Zoes Place Baby Hospice which if you don't know, is based at Normanby in Middlesbrough. It is one of only two hospices of it's kind that specialise in offering respite care for baby's and children aged from birth to 5 years old who have life limiting illnesses. I have been informed that it will cost in the region of about 1 million pounds to keep the centre running this year alone. So that challenge for me is not a mere 13 and a bit miles running.... or maybe stumbling, but raising at least £250.00 for the charity. This is where you come in. I understand that we are all regularly asked to sponsor friends and colleagues for such events, or have collection tins rattled at us, but your support is what makes this and many other charties able to continue the services they provide. Every penny really does count!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now and help me support Zoes Place.
Many thanks
Ian
